Proposals are the basis of governance actions in Accord. A proposal has an owner, attributes to a cake and most times a DOU value.

The atomic way of getting things done in a Cake is a proposal. A proposal is simply a way of putting forward a document for consideration and a decision to be made by members.

Examples of Proposals:

• Claims for expenses

• DOU Value rules

• New roadmaps / direction

• Plans for significant expenditure

• New members

• Mission statements

• Creation of a sub-DAO / new experimental project

• Accept investment

• Baking event (TGE etc)

• Events

Every member gets the opportunity to Vote. When the voting threshold is met, the proposal is approved.

Currently votes are not weighted meaning every member as equal right to sway the proposal to be approved or disapproved.

Roadmap

We've a more sophisticated voting system designed and looking for feedback. If you want be involved and help shape Accord.
